Welcome
DEBORAH HENDERSON, offers violin lessons for children, teens and adults using both the Suzuki Method and Royal Conservatory syllabus. She also leads violin group classes for children and chamber music ensembles for teens.
Deborah’s students come for their music lessons from many locations throughout Northumberland County: Campbellford, Warkworth, Grafton, Colborne, and Norwood, as well as Cobourg and Port Hope and their surrounding areas. Lessons are also available in Belleville on Tuesdays at Eastminster United Church.
They range in age from 4 to 60+ and have a wide range of musical interests, including basic violin instruction, classical music, Royal Conservatory examinations, pop tunes, folk and celtic fiddling.
Deborah lives in Port Hope where she has maintained a studio since 1997. She is a registered Suzuki teacher and holds degrees in Fine Arts and Education from Queen’s University.
Sarah and Chaiora, both age 4, have learned to play Twinkle and performed at their first recital in June.
Congratulations to Catharine, Anne, Madison and Sydney (front row), who received their Book 1 graduation pins at the spring recital this year. In the back row are last year's graduates, now in Book 2: Hannah, Jamie, and Connor.
In the sweltering July heat, the mighty quartet: Julie and Eva, violins, Sonya, cello, and Ryan, guitar, performed for the afternoon at the Horizons of Friendship Garden Tour. Thanks also to Taylor and Jamie for their participation in the event!
